The role of the travel agency in Morocco

Travel Agency in Morocco

Traditionally, the travel agency serves as an intermediary between, on the one hand, travel creators such as airlines, tour operators, service providers such as car rental companies and the hotel industry, or insurance companies and, on the other hand, the clientele

The travel agency is in the form of a point of sale (or counter) which can be unique or multiplied in branches scattered throughout the territory according to its importance and its commercial policy.

The travel agency can also be generalist and cover all the tourist demand or specialized in targeted services. Independent or emanating from a tourist group, the travel agency may have vocation for the organization of static vacations - taking care of the routing and the hotel service - or, on the contrary, circuits.
The role of the travel agency is not limited to the sale of services and it brings an added value thanks to a direct contact with the tourist, including an information mission and an advisory function relating to the conditions of the trip. and the precautions to be taken (validity of the passport, need for a visa, driving license if necessary).
In general, the travel agency is responsible for resolving problems that may arise from the particularity of each trip and the requirements of each type of customer.
In this sense, the travel agency makes an important contribution to the facilitation of the organization of the national and international tourism and a guarantee of good end for the tourists who call on its services. However, the work of the travel agency has a cost, thereby increasing the price of the overall service.
